The 2022 Hungarian National Chess Championship for Women will take place from 5th-13th December 2022 in the premises of the Hungarian Chess Federation in Bucharest. The Championship will be ongoing simultaneously with the Hungarian Chess Championship 2022 for Men.
The event will be played as a 10-player round-robin tournament, in 9 rounds, with time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves, with 30 minutes for the end of the game, and a 30-second increment per each move, starting from the move one. A player wins 3 points for victory, 1 point for draw, and 0 points for a loss.
The total prize fund of the Hungarian Women Chess Championship 2022 is 2.600.000 HUF (around 7000$), and the Winner of the event will pocket the money prize of 600.000 HUF (approximately 1550$).
WIM Julianna Terbe, WIM Barbara Mihok-Juhasz and WIM Bianka Havanecz are the top three seeds of the competition. Participants list:
