FM Ena Cvitan defends the Croatian Women’s Champion title

21-year-old FM Ena Cvitan clinched the 2022 Croatian Women’s Chess Championship, defending her 2021 title.

As the rating favourite, FM Ena Cvitan scored unbeaten 5.5/7 points to emerge as the sole Winner of the event and win the first prize of 1.200 euros. Seven-time Croatian Champion WGM Mirjana Medic followed with 5 points winning the silver medal, and the 2020 Champion WFM Patricija Vujnovic claimed bronze with a score of 4.5 points.

The Croatian Women’s Chess Championship 2022 was played from 7-13 December in Zagreb. It was an 8-player round-robin tournament that featured a total prize fund of 4.000 euros. Detailed information to be found on the Official website of the event.
